I live in Vienna, that's the capital city of Austria (and that's in Europe - no kangaroos here, ok? ;-) )
I enjoyed doing 3d graphics with all kinds of programs since I first saw 3D Studio R3 - for DOS.
In real life, I'm a professional programmer, proficient in most common, and even some uncommon programming languages out there in the wild, including (in no particular order) C/C++/C#, ASM (on x86), Cobol, Visual Basic (.NET) and Java, the scripting variations thereof, SQL (if you count that as programming language), and a bit of Python, Lisp, Haskell, Smalltalk, Fortran and X++ (if you don't know what that is, you're a lucky man). Yeah, and I can type HTML and ASP code...
I'm currently gainfully unemployed, and in my copious free time I try to study computer science at the Technical University Vienna, and once I finished my bachelor I intend to get my master at the computer graphics group. We'll see.
I do heavily think about attending the SAE, which is about the only institution geared towards the artistical side of 3d graphics here in Vienna. I'll certainly update the site here if I do happen to go there...
